Coding & Tech Academy

Learn the basics of computer science and the fundamentals of code, robotics and game design or take your skills to the next level. Through interactive projects using Turtle Graphics, Python coding and Raspberry Pi (4), develop essential skills as you tackle exciting coding and robotics challenges.

What To Expect?

  • 15 hours' tuition per week

    (including English Skills, English Workshops and end-of-week presentation)

    Maximum class size: 12 international students**
    ** In exceptional circumstances, in order to place students at their correct level, maximum class size may be exceeded.

  • English Skills

    On arrival, you'll be given a written and oral test and placed into an English Skills class appropriate for your age and level

    Improve core skills, technical accuracy and enhance spoken fluency through engaging and collaborative sessions e.g. Life in a British School - research famous British Schools and design your own!

  • English Workshop

    In these fun, task based sessions, you'll explore new topic areas. Learn through researching, discussing, collaborating and creating

    Workshop topics vary week to week e.g. Book Design, Drama, Discovering Darwin, Engineering, Journalism, Video Blogs, Visual Poetry!

    Each week choose a workshop that interests you.

  • Trinity Exam

    The Trinity Exam in Spoken English is offered on 14 July and 28 July 2026. It is an optional extra, but recommended, £130

Suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced

Turtle Graphics - Beginner Create colourful
animations using Python's Turtle module and grasp programming concepts, write effective and efficient code in a fun and engaging way

Robotic Arms - Beginner/Intermediate Using robotics equipment, learn the principles of mechanical design, electronics, and sensor integration. Assemble mechanical components, programme sensors, and apply JavaScript programming skills

Game design – Intermediate/Advanced Build on skills
used in Turtle graphics to create an online game using Python code to play with friends. Learn the important skill of spotting different types of errors in your code. Play games created by your classmates and work collaboratively to provide constructive feedback.

Home security systems - Advanced In this advanced coding project, learn about software development, hardware integration, and cybersecurity using Python to explore the exciting field of home automation.
